Introducing CleavesFest

Introducing the first Annual Cleavesfest! A memorial concert event! We gather to honor the life and love of our friend and local musician and promoter David Cleaves, but we also want to honor the others we have lost in the last couple of crazy years including Chris Payette, A life long member of the local music scene, Joseph Knapp of Bozemans’s music scene and a member of the band Dead Sky, Local artist and Bronze sculptor Bill Rains whose work can be seen in statues that he made of members of the country music hall of fame among many other things, and life long musician and former owner of the Reno Club John Blair. They all made a major impact on our Montana art and music scene through their many efforts. They are all missed and they all deserve to be celebrated! This is not meant to be an event of mourning, but rather a celebration of the time we were lucky enough to have these people around! We want to honor all who were lost during the pandemic across the Globe and this event lands on 9/11 and we will never forget the people lost on that day..  Honoring them all the best way we know how! “Let there be songs to fill the air!”   (The net proceeds from this event will be used for next year’s event and we will use this event as a chance to continue to honor those no longer with us..)

BILLINGS, MT!!!

You know we wouldn’t forget about y’all. We’re excited to return Sunday, September 11th at @craftlocalmt but unfortunately it comes as a result of the loss of our good brother David Cleaves and others we’ve lost during the last two years.

David was integral in us playing in Montana and hosted us for years when we played in Billings. He set up shows for us early on and was always there to support any way he could. He introduced us to so many fans, friends and family in and around Billings. We played countless shows together and had many a epic Mario Kart battle.

We’re blessed to be invited back to Billings in remembrance of Cleaves. We’ve wanted to do this for two years and haven’t been able to. Please come out to support the Billings music and arts scene that David worked so hard to help build.

It feels strange promoting a show under these circumstances, but we think of it as a family reunion and a chance to reconnect with so many beautiful humans we’ve grown close to in Billings and Montana at large. Join us.

Shout out to Michael of Smiling Dog Records and all of the bands, artists and sponsors coming together for this event. 🙏 ❤️
